About Cactus Cutlery

I made my first knife on a whim in ~2002 with no intention of ever making more than one or two. However, something about the process grabbed my attention and I have enjoyed making knives off and on ever since. I have both a day job and a family, so I don’t get to spend much time on this hobby these days, but I still find time when I can to make some sparks and sawdust.

I have never sold any of my knives and don’t ever expect to. I have given most of them away to friends and family and the ones that weren’t nice enough to give away I have kept for my own use. I particularly enjoy making a specific knife upon special request with design input from the intended owner. If you by chance are the owner of one of my knives, please consider leaving at comment on the appropriate page letting everyone know what you’ve been doing with it and how it has performed for you. I’m not just trolling for compliments, I genuinely want the feedback and think that other readers will appreciate the critiques/reviews as well. As I’ve told many of you, please don’t baby these knives; if you manage to break one, I will make you another (it just may take me a while…)!

I have thoroughly enjoyed knife-making as a hobby and created this webpage to share my interests and experiences with others. If you find this page interesting and have something nice to say, please leave a comment on the webpage or send me an email at the email address below. Even better, send me some pictures of something you have built, bladed or not, for me to enjoy.

Thanks,

Cactus Cutlery
