Mother-In-Law

This is a paring knife that I made for my mother-in-law for Christmas 2009. The pattern on the blade was a complete accident and as far as I can tell was some sort of interaction between the blade and the stainless foil that I wrapped it in for heat treating.

The handle was made with tri-color diamond wood scales set at an angle to expose the stripes.
